The sub who tells you before he cuts
“I've learned every job has a lot of voices pulling in different ways. Most people stick to one to follow. I try to find the one thread that ties them all into the same voice.”
If someone sent you here, you're not comparing quotes — you're checking that what I told them is what I'll tell you. Three calls I've actually made, and why.
On the record
Three calls, no guessing
Three exterior calls, three ways the job would've gone worse if I'd just followed the first instruction I got.
01 / FASCIA
Saved a track-saw cut
The gutter needed a clean drain line, not the fascia cut back — flashing did the job and the fascia stayed whole.
02 / RAIL
Saved a callback
An off-center handrail got recentered before the decking went down, so nobody had to tear it out and reschedule.
03 / SIDING
Saved the elevation
A required service access became a magnet-set panel instead of a hinge and a lock on the front elevation.
